COSMOPLAST
Approved by the FDA in 2003 for injection into the mid to deep dermis for correction of soft tissue contour deficiencies, such as wrinkles and acne scars, COSMOPLAST, like COSMODERM, was America's first commercially available, FDA-approved, human-based collagen dermal filler. Unlike COSMODERM, COSMOPLAST comes in just one concentration, and is used not only to refine lip borders, but to treat the most pronounced lines, wrinkles, and scars including:
- Crow's feet (periorbital lines)
- Smile lines (nasolabial folds)
- Frown lines (glabellar lines)
- Vertical lip lines
- Worry lines (forehead lines)
- Acne scars
These quick, convenient treatments take just 5 to 10 minutes, can last up to 6 months, and require no downtime.
COSMODERM
Approved by the FDA in 2003 for injection into the superficial papillary dermis for correction of soft tissue contour deficiencies, such as wrinkles and acne scars, COSMODERM (along with COSMPPLAST) was the first FDA-approved, human-based collagen filler available to the public.
Today, COSMODERM is available in two concentrations: COSMODERM 1 is used to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, as well as shallow scars; COSMODERM 2 plumps up more moderate lines and wrinkles, as well as deeper scars. The human-based collagen can be used to define lip borders and treat:
